Announcement to the Public Statement No (1/2021)

1. The public has been aware that the military led by Commander-in-chief Min Aung Hlaing has took over the state’s Administrative, Legislative and Judiciary power on February 1, 2021, with the help of the Army.
2. The Boycott Committee consists of the ethnicities and public from nationwide including in Dawei District who are strongly protesting against the military coup, and will stage our resistance in all non-violent ways.
3. The Boycott Committee and the public understand that the citizen in Myanmar will never have a federal democracy and peace in the country as all the ethnics and public desire as long as the 2008 Constitution was drafted in favor of the military dictatorship.
4. Thus, the Boycott Committee on Democratic Movement (Dawei District) and all classes of people call for boycott and protest until the end of the military dictatorship and we will strongly resist in every non-violent way.
